About this course
The ServSafe Food Handler certification is one of the most widely recognized credentials in the food service industry. This free 4-session course prepares Hartford residents for the national ServSafe exam, covering everything you need to work safely and confidently in a professional kitchen or food service setting.

- How to prevent contamination and foodborne illness

This course meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, at Hartford Public Library's Central Branch (500 Main Street).
This program is free and open to:
- Hartford residents
- Those working in Hartford
- Anyone opening a Hartford food service-related business
- Participants must be authorized to work in the United States
