About this program
ReConnect CT is a free six-week program at Hartford Public Library, 500 Main Street, Hartford. This program is for the justice-impacted. It helps members of the reentry community build the digital and money skills they need to get online and move forward. Participants who successfully complete all six sessions will receive $250 in Visa gift cards and a ReConnect CT Certificate of Achievement from Hartford Public Library.
What you will learn
Digital Skills
• Use a computer, phone, or tablet
• Set up email and find what you need online
• Apply for jobs and access benefits and services
Financial Skills
• Open a bank account and use online banking
• Build a budget and understand your credit
• Take control of your financial future
What you will earn
Participants who successfully complete all six sessions will earn:
• $250 in Visa gift cards
• A ReConnect CT Certificate of Achievement from Hartford Public Library
Program format
Six weekly sessions, two hours each.
Time: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
All materials and devices for class use are provided at no cost.
