UConn, TEAS project and Hartford Public Library proudly present a three-day Asian Film Festival in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
This special collaboration will showcase a diverse lineup of films that highlight identity, history, resilience, and culturewithin the AAPI community.
Featured films include:
🎬 In Search of Bengali Harlem – A revealing documentary uncovering the hidden histories of South Asian and African American connections in Harlem.
🎬 Everything Everywhere All at Once – The Academy Award-winning film blending action, sci-fi, and heartfelt storytelling about family and multiverse chaos.
🎬 Dear Corky – A moving tribute to legendary photographer Corky Lee, who dedicated his life to capturing Asian American history.
🎬 Not on the Menu – A look at the struggles and triumphs of Asian American restaurant workers.

Hartford Public Library’s history spans more than 235 years. We can trace its very beginnings to the Library Company, formally organized in 1774 by a few subscribers to purchase a "collection of useful and religious books". And now, the library is a national leader in redefining the urban public library in the 21st century as an innovative and stimulating place where people can learn and discover, explore their passions, and find a rich array of resources that contribute to a full life.
