Presented by Jocelyn Pleasant: African drumming and rhythm is present in the roots of all music throughout the Black Diaspora. Jocelyn Pleasant will present via lecture and demonstration about the historical influence of African rhythms in the Black Diaspora and the implications that this has for music in America and beyond.
