Charlie Apicella and Alexis Marcelo pay tribute to their mentor Yusef Lateef. Selections include Apicella’s originals, spontaneous group improvisation, and never before performed compositions by Lateef from such collections as Flute Book of the Blues and The Repository of Scales and Melodic Patterns.

Hartford Public Library’s history spans more than 235 years. We can trace its very beginnings to the Library Company, formally organized in 1774 by a few subscribers to purchase a "collection of useful and religious books".
