A discussion.
This lecture will talk about the place that Jazz has always held in the realm of social justice discourse that goes back further than the civil rights movement. We will examine the common thread of social justice and protest from the roots of jazz to some of the modern day jazz of today as well as field questions from the audience on the place Jazz still has in today's conversations around social justice and social protest.
